WebPoint 1.4.0 is released now. This new release integrates new version of WebShow framework and provides bookmark ability to HTML presentation.

Main updates:

  • Integrate WebShow framework 0.6.9, support AJAX url. Now every slide has its own url, you can bookmark slide during one play session, the bookmark will bring you to the same slide in another session.
  • Now the HTML presentation config file is put into a sub directory (rather than in the root dir) to make the root folder more clear and clean.
  • Change HTML presentation config file from XML to JavaScript format to avoid local XHR limitation in Google Chrome 5+.
  • As Google Chrome 5+ does not allow load local HTML file via JavaScript, when select "embedded" or "frame" presentation mode, a warning dialog will be displayed.

WebShow 0.6.9 comes out with many enhancement on AJAX url, external config file format, autoplay and many other fields.

  • Add AJAX url support to WebShow.App. Different slides have different url now. This is very useful to save the presentation state inweb browser bookmark.
  • Add support of Javascript config file. This kind of config file is actually a XML string wrapped in a Javascript variable. Use this kind of external config file to work around the security limitation of loading XML file via XHR in some browser (eg. Google Chrome 5+).
  • Add onAppReady and onCoverSlideDisplayed event to class WebShow.App
  • Add autoPlayAfterRun property to WebShow.app. Set it to true will cause autoplay starts instantly after all slides are loaded.
  • Add reprepareSlidesAfterLoop property to WebShow.app. During loop playing, when loop back to the first slide, all slides will be forced to reprepare effects.
  • Fix some bugs in WebShow.OperationGroup and WebShow.OperationSequence.

WebPoint 1.3.5 is released today. This new release provides you more options to control the play and autoplay process of HTML presentation, together with fixes on some existed bugs.

Main updates:

  • Add "Loop play" check box to Conversion Settings page which may enable the output slides to play in circle.
  • Add "Auto play" group box in Conversion Settings page to provide better control on auto play feature.
  • Fix bugs which may cause empty background when converting dynamic HTML presentation.
